Sometimes It’s Just Not There
Ask any of my friends about me. They know that I am a social butterfly of epic proportions. I can talk to a girl up and down, left and right, for as long as it takes and then say, “well, it was nice talking to you, see you around.” There will be times when I am convinced that the woman on the receiving end of my charming ways was either confused or question why the interaction ended with no closure. It can be easily assumed that if you are talking to a woman out of genuine interest, at some point in the conversation there will be an exchange of information or numbers. Well ladies, it’s not always about you. See, the thing is, I got my closure. Somewhere in our conversation, I got to the point where it didn’t interest me anymore. Fact is, women are looking for men to date and all that monogamous stuff. So when women come across men who they can carry a conversation for a significant amount of time without wanting to bail, it’s like the skies parted and a ray of sunshine came down. Women are looking for that emotional love connection. Men are too, but not like that. Sorry if we don’t ask for your number. I’m sure you’re a great gal, but no.
