Before I can let you go, there are words I never said

I want you to know about these thoughts I’ve kept in my head

Every time I saw you, the beauty of your smile made me stop and stare

My feelings for you will always continue to be there

I tried my best, but still you chose to leave me

If you truly love them, you must learn to set them free

At first I drank to forget, but now I write to remember the times

All these years we spent together committing teenage crimes

Take me back to that familiar place

I’d give up everything just to touch your face
