My Bad, Snail…
Yup, today’s post is about snails. Hella random, I know. The idea to write about snails came to me one night as I was getting off work and walking towards my car. No, I didn’t accidently step on a snail that night, but it has happened before. In fact, I am almost 100% positive that you reading this post have accidently stepped on a snail at least once in your life. Have you ever thought about how unlucky these little guys can be?
Snails Like Using The Sidewalk Too
The sidewalk is the #1 worst place to be for a snail after a rain. People are not going to walk through grass when it’s wet. It will get our shoes dirty. We will find the driest path, and that path happens to be on a hard surface like a sidewalk.
Snails Have A Very Weak Shell
What’s the point of carrying around a shell if it can’t even protect you from very much? That’s unnecessary weight for no reason. Might as well be a slug. The only thing a snail’s shell is useful for is making us feel horrible for stepping on a snail and hearing the shell make that crunching sound.
Snails Don’t Like Young Kids
Sometimes young kids can be evil. My friend told me a childhood story about how her sister would collect snails in a bucket and then throw salt into the bucket. In case you didn’t know what happens to snails when introduced to salt, let me tell you, it’s not a pretty picture. I admit though, I was “that” kid when I was younger.
While we are always looking ahead to see what’s to come, don’t forget to look down every once in a while in case a snail decides to take a risk that day to cross the sidewalk.
