Euphoria

San Jose, I hope you’re ready for this weekend. Since 2005, I have always wanted to be involved in the music business on some way. My first exposure to it was through my employer at Puma North America. I was given the responsibility to book local dj talent for our store in Santa Clara on the weekends. This exposed me into the entire nightlife culture. It was then when I decided I wanted to be a dj. Eventually, life happened and my dream of becoming a dj was placed on the back burner for years to follow. It wasn’t until 2010 when the opportunity arose through my friends, Brandon Thomas and John Ta.

Brandon, John and I were siting at Miller’s Field in Pacific Beach talking about an electronic dance music event called Electric Daisy Carnival. I have never been to a large scale music event before, but Brandon and John were convinced that attending this event will change my life. I agreed to go and I’m glad I did. The electronic dance music culture had all the right ingredients. Everything was about the music. It is an environment where everybody dances and has a good time. There’s no hate. People are friendly and everywhere you turn, it’s all smiles.

It was after the event when the three of us decided to start our own dj group. Each of us has our distinct style: Brandon with progressive house, John with electro house, and myself with dubstep. Just like that, IntraphoniC was formed. Fast forward a year and here we are organizing our first music event.

We’re calling it Euphoria. It just sounds cool. Since most of our friends live in the bay area, we decided to choose San Jose for our event. For the last year, we’ve mostly spun at house parties and small venues. Euphoria will be our mainstream introduction to a large audience. Get ready San Jose, we’re coming for you this Saturday.
